Mike Jackson - A photo from Doug...and how to load photos to the net
(Sorry. Could not place image. Broken link?)

Howdy gang,
Doug sent me a photo tonight. Since he doesn't have a web site to upload his photos to, he wasn't sure how to do it.

Just to see how hard it was, I went to www.webshots.com, created a new user and name and passwords, created an album, and then uploaeded his photo. It worked fine. Then, to show that photo here, you find it in your new album and right mouse click on the photo & hit "properties". From there drag across the full path. In this case it is http://community.webshots.com/sym/image ... LnI_ph.jpg
Once selected, hit the Control-C keyboard combinations. That copies the info to your clipboard. Then come back to this BB and make a new post. In the Optional Image URL, click once in the blank field to set the cursor, then hit Control-V to paste the entire web address into the field. You still need to enter a name, email address, subject and comment before hitting the Submit button.

If you don't have a web site and want to share photos, give webshots a try! It is free for the basic membership, but they also offer a fairly inexpensive alternative for additional photo hosting.

Well, here's a photo of one of Doug Bernhardt's signs!

Looks like they have a script prohibiting photos to be viewed outside their site.

Here it is, hosted on TheLetterheads.com

Nice job Doug.

So your first attempt didn't fly. Is there some other service that will work so us siteless folk can easily post our pictures to this BB?

Hi Larry,
I don't know whether all the photo servers will block us from using photos from their site or not. There might be a way to upload to this site using some sort of FTP, but I don't really know how to do it, and keep the site safe.
