Perhaps Kent Smith will know more, but everytime I asked about him, people just shrugged their shoulders and said they really didn't know. He was a party animal--a little on the wild side. At one time, he was spending time in jail in Aspen as a result of a bar brawl (if I remember the story correctly). Apparently, when he wasn't drunk, he was a very pleasant guy, so when he was in jail, they would let him out long enough to go to the art store for supplies.

If anyone has more info, I'd love to hear an update.

John was addicted to more than alcohol and has been incarcerated numberous times in many places. The last time I saw him was 1986. I asked last week and even Rick F. who used to hear from him sometimes, had not seen or heard from him in many years.
