enamel on Sintra

Post by curt stenz »

I need to produce some sintra panels. I want to coat the background with 1-soht enamel. If I was hand lettering them I wouldn't feel so uncomfortable, but I need to use vinyl. I am afraid that the application tape will pull up the background.

How about Ronan aqua paint? I have never tried it.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

We have just completed some similar signs and have several more in the shop right now.

Our schedule is to scuff the surface with a scotchbrite pad or steel wool and then a good cleaning with alcohol. We then spray or roll on One Shot that has a little bit of hardner in it. Be sure that you allow the paint to cure before applying vinyl.

You can also do the same type of application with 100% acrylic latex. We recently did a bunch of interior signs for our convention center using latex and vinyl and it worked just fine.
