I was watching a program on the Discovery Channel a couple of days ago on the new age of Tatoo Parlors. This one showed a young girl going into a parlor in what looked like Los Angeles. When the tatoo artist asked what kind of image she wanted to get tatooed on her butt, she dragged out a neck tie with none other than a Warner Brothers Tasmanian Devil. It had a bunch of different poses of the figure and she wanted the "pouting" one. The guy took the tie into the back room where he made the transfer sheet. After transferring the design, he proceeded to do the deed. There was never a mention of possible copyright problems...he just carried on as if he does this kind of thing every day. I found it interesting that he would do this tatoo with the cameras running. Of course he was tatooed all over and it would seem to be fairly easy to find this parlor and that artist.
I didn't watch the entire show, but later wondered whether a couple of Warner Brother's lawyers had paid him a nice visit yet. After that, I wondered if he got a lot of requests for Mickey Mouses and whether he would do them, too.
Just an observation.....

Mike JacksonI don't know about the copyrighted material but the substrates could open a whole new discussion here! ;=)
D. Bernhardt - SubstratesHi Doug,
I guess this substrate is just a side step over from Al Zanetti's elephant he painted a long time ago! A few years ago, they were filming a commercial here and someone had to paint numbers on the sides of some cows that walked across the screen with the Grand Tetons in the background. The numbers were some sort of percentage rate for a lending company...or maybe it was a car company with percentage rates?

Kent Smithhi again goldie......since i can speak a bit of french (well...understand is a better way to put it)i suggest that the tetons are grand and am sure if they walked across my T.V. screen they would attract the attention of all present!
Amazing considering that we would probably get a visit for just discussing using copyrighted material on a sign.
