I am not to sure how this board works yet so im just going to introduce myself. Some boards reguire this.
I am also on the letterhead board. Im 18 years old and i've been pinstriping and lettering for about 5 years now. I am currently working on my first "walldog" job thats about 40 foot long and 30 ft from the ground.
Hi Jamie,
Nice to see you on this Forum. Most of us hand letter regularly, or at least know how when we need it!
That's a nice job, and a pretty big undertaking for someone of your age. Did you use scaffolds, ladders and ladder jacks, hanging stage, or another method? The new scissor lifts are awfully nice for a job like that. When I was younger, I did a few from methods I just listed. Personally, I'd rather stay closer to the ground. After Kent Smith fell backwards with a ladder, I am sure he'd say the same.
Feel free to post here all you want. People here have a lot of experience and are usually very willing to share their knowledge.
Take care,

Thanks, I used a scaffold. I did a few letters and came down and moved the scaffold over and did some more. I have two sides of the building done. I have one side and the windows left to letter and I'll be done.
Jamie,
Well done!
If you don't mind I'd like to say that when I first got started my dad would say "Don't be afraid to be Demontrative!"What he ment was that in your design you can include bold outlines and big drop shadows to finish off your design. You've made a nice start with your lettering but to me it could use an outline and shadow to really POP it off the wall. You could use a darker brick color for the shadow and it would really feel like it was floating off the wall.
Good luch and keep up the good work
