Hi all,
Sarah King called wondering if there was a Caduceus symbol in any of my CD packages.
(we don't have any on the CDs)
I told her there were quite a few different ones: Dental, Chiropractic, RN, and so forth.
Just to be sure, I did a Google search and found a few. The page linked below shows
several.

Hey Mike, thanks for the link. I've been looking around but I'd missed that one. Several ideas there that I can ask my customer about. I'm not sure if he even knows that there are different styles for the different branches of medicine. You sure know how to make the rest of us look good.

Here's a couple of quotes from that site:

I have seen a winged Davinci style figure included in the Chiropractic caduceus symbols, too.
It became popular in America as a Medical Emblem in 1902, when the U.S. Army selected it as their Medical Symbol. It simply looked better then the Staff of Aesculapius. If you research the two symbols you'll find that they both have a long history even before the time of Greece. You will also find there are no guidelines or rules as to the forms they may take.

I have seen a winged Davinci style figure included in the Chiropractic caduceus symbols, too.
