Viva las vegas! International Sign Expo

Post by erik winkler »

We (our firm) are a member of a Dutch sign organisation that promotes the sign business and keeps an eye on the quality standards of its members.
This organisation organises courses, researches, insurances and a lot of other things.
They also organize, every two years, a trip to the International Sign Expo in Las Vegas.

I was wondering..... since nobody in Nederland uses the good ole' techniques mentioned on the forum if it is interesting for me to attend this trip to America with this organisation and maybe meet some of you guys there?
Maybe make a combined visit to the Californian Letterheads somewhere else in the state or something....
Just an idea and a question I wanted to post here.

THe ISA show is mostly about modern technology and tools... and really. really BIG! I'll most likely be there doing my talks and slide show at the MultiCam booth.

Sounds like a vinyl slappers paradise.Come west young man and see more One Shot , Gold and glass than you might be ready for.You may have to start in San Diego and work your way up to San Francisco.

Why not doing the Route 66 and visit some more :D
Ending at vinyls paradise and do a workshop at Bullpens
The exhibition is tax-deductable so why not.

You're welcome to stop by here in Machine for a cup of hot, strong, good coffee, I got a few things to look at too.

...Machine is in the San Francisco Bay area, Caleefornia, at the end of the line.

'Course if you were to stop by, you'd have to clean up a bit....

Thanks for the hospitality gentleman!
Getting more interesting everytime.
The trade show will be in April 2009.
Enough time to make some quality programming for the trip.
Are there any other spots in the California area to visit as a Letterhead fan?
For instance is the old shop front of Esoteric Sign Supply still there? (you guys made me soooo curious, that I want to go on a pelgrimage).
Is Disney worth while to visit? And i do not mean the atractions, but the signage made in HDU and on glass?

I will be at ISA in Vegas and a few others as well. There are a few Letterheads around town too. We will be staying with my Sister in Law. Easy trip in to LA from there where we will go to see relatives and other LH friends.

Larry, Danny et al, we will be at our daughter's for Christmas in the Bay area so we might want to find a way to get to see everyone.

Esoteric is being dismantled this next month according to my sources.
