Where is a good place to start and find the right imformation on glue chipping glass? Is this something I can try on my own or is it something best shown to me? I would imagine most of the tools and supplies can be bought from Rick Glawson. Thanks for the help.

Hi Rob,
Try going to the www.signcraft.com site and search the archives for Glue Chipping. I did an article on the subject a few years ago, and it should show up. You can buy the back issue directly from them, if you don't have that issue already. Contact Rick Glawson about possibly getting to the Conclave in February. He sells all the supplies and equipment, too.

Good luck,

Thanks Mike!

Get the hands-on first. It is sure easier to avoid the pitfalls...or plinkfails. Whichever.

Cam Bortz is not far from me. I think he has done some Glue chipping. Maybe I will see if he would like to get together. Thanks for the help guys!!

Since that post was originally made, I added an entire new section to www.theletterheads.com called Glue Chiped Glass: Info/Sources.

http://www.theletterheads.com/lhparts/gluechip.html

That page now has a TON of great information and links. It might be the most concise compilation of information you will find anywhere!

Check it out!
