Kent SmithThis morning we watched Sunday Morning on CBS. They did a story about a flight museum in Missoula, Montana. Of course there was a shot of their sign that stayed on the screen quite a while - long enough to see that the vinyl letters were peeling and distorted. It looked awful. I doubt that the CBS crew just dropped in unexpectedly.
We as group have so much control over a business' image. In this case it is not only my first impression but perhaps the only impression. It didn't make me want to visit the place.
Joe CrumleyI don't eat in restaurants that have poor, peeling or bad homemade signs when travelling. At home, we avoid them because we know if they will not spend the money for a good sign, they often miss something in the quality of the products they buy for serving. I have seen too many kitchens and back rooms when doing service or installs.
CarolI have to tell you, lots of sign companies do a poor job of signage on their building as well.
Kent, you are welcome,to drop by for a good hamburger any time, but will be expected to guild in return.
Thank you Carol for the reminder to refresh our ageing sandblasted, guilded sign. Our main problem is that we can't afford us.
But Joe, you WILL get it done before you're on national television. I know you will.
