tinting HF?

Hi guys. I was wondering, if I buy HF diluted to the required percent, how do I dye it? I know I can't put water into it. :?

As far as I know, the general rule is to add Acid to Water, and not water to acid. But that is a safety issue, as explained to me by ol' Rick. The idea is IF you splash out any liquid when pouring one into another, it will almost always be from the receiving body of solution and not from the solution pouring solution. Better to have wate splash on you than concentrated acid. If you are careful, you should be able to add a few drops of food coloring without splashing the acid back on you.
