It was a live auction at the Peterson Museum. The Flying Eyeball Sign went for $149,500. Check this out for the results. http://rmauctions.com/AuctionResults.cf ... emorabilia

Hi Carol,
I have been out of town for a few days and hadn't seen the auctions. Wow, someone at the auction place should be happy. Most items went for 3 to 6 times their estimated values. Thanks for the note,

I'll bet it wasn't a sign painter or pin striper.

I took a look at all the stuff that sold, truly amazing how much people are paying for it.Had I known I would have had Big Daddy sign some of the thing he gave me.
The artical from The OC was interesting.Big Daddy "ED" Roth was same same kind of guy allthough he didn't drink any more ,but It was hard to be around it somtimes because of the racism issue. It was the same with Pablo Piccaso but you just gotta love em for the genuis of their art and leave it that.
The Von Dutch sign kit looked very sad with all the contents missing.
