Well here's the finished pic of Doug's first gold leaf sign. He employed some sandcarving and water gilding along with a faux finish background. Came out quite nice, truth be told. ...and now he's on to the next one. Funny how this art gets in your blood. ...even if it is a bit low on temperature.

Looks good on him. :)
Seems there is some new decor in the background.
Would you mind getting Doug to take a look at that image I sent before he comes to Lodi. Maybe we can find a moment for him to give me some direction.
