Stupid white man. .....William Blake, you go to them.

What? Alone? Why don't we just go around them?

No ! You go. .........It's a test.

I don't know those people, and they don't look very friendly. What if they kill me?

Nobody will observe.

Once upon a time, there were three bears in the forest. A big bear, a medium mommy bear...and a tiny little baby bear. One mornin', they were gonna eat their breakfast porridge. They had a big bowl, a medium bowl and a tiny little bowl. That porridge was too hot.

So they went to take a walk.

Along came this girl. She was–

-She got sleepy, and she went into their bedroom. There was a big bed, a medium bed and a tiny little bed.

...their tiny bed.

-The bears got home. Papa said, "Somebody here ate all our porridge. "

And he scalped her,

and he tore her head off her body. And he took that golden hair, and he made a sweater for baby bear.

Well then Mr Dick & Son, I figured I'd take you up on that challenge....
I've been building me a foundation for a little shop of my own. Truth be told it isn't so little. Nor was I planning to do the building. But Mother Nature, she's been in a bit of a snit as of late and so the sowing the crops seemed to run right into the harvesting with no building time for the men folks between.
With my concrete coming in a week there ain't much option but for a gal to BUILD! Had a few family members come in to help this past weekend, but in all honesty I ain't much good at herding cats. Seems like I'm making better progress on my own. Course, Jeremy, that good son of mine, came to his Ma's recue again and we got some measuring and staking done. That boy makes a Ma proud. ;)

Well I was up at the crack of dawn waiting for my cement crew. What you are seeing in the first picture is 1650 sq ft of insulation, 2000 lbs of rebar, 500 rebar chairs, 1750' of 1/2 pex tubing, 400' of 2x6,1000 zip ties, 1500 rebar ties. For those of you who live in the balmier places all those hoses are in floor heating.

Sure seems like a crazy pathway to pour cement - right over my rooftop! But then living in the prairies can drive you plumb loco! Or maybe the guy has a winter job herding reindeer.

It didn't take long for 6 guys to bury almost 2 weeks of a girls work. :)

It's a pretty picture when it all comes together without a hitch and you know your hard work paid off. I've got some young bones hired for the next phase so for the next couple of months I can just sit back and watch it grow. :)

I forgot to tell you I'll have word about
the saloon by the time you get back.

Saloon?

Told you I was wanting out of the glass
business. There's a saloon right back there
just had its owner die. Hoping you'd be my
partner.

I can't afford something like that. Not even half.
Well, let the brains of the outfit do the building.

Now I won't have to look at my dumpster anymore!

This is a short 1970 film with Johnny Crawford (Chuck Connors, The Rifleman)
The sound is poor, but the rest is cool. He would have been right at home(Larry's) at the end of the line in Machine.

There are two parts-
