I received a package, from the folks at Dickinson Metal Works, assuring me it was the.....

of The Good, the Bad & the Ugly!

Although it appears that all the deleted scenes from the original DVD release have been put back in, the original release version claims they are 14 minutes long. However, this extended version is actually 16 minutes longer, concluding at 2 hours and 57 minutes...and 48 seconds.
This extended version has been packaged as a double feature, along with Hang 'em High, which doesn't appear to be any different from it's original DVD release.

Get this one! It made a classic even better! Think I'll put it #2 on my list of favorites! There's a few other movies that I'd like to see the deleted scenes put back.

Thanks, Mr. Dick-in-son!

You should know by now that I look at everything, and CLOSE UP! I picked up a Bausch and Lomb microscope a while back, and just yesterday placed an odd acting bee under it as he died.
I don't know what he came into contact with, but I watched as he died under obvious stress. I watched as his body shut down in increments and was amazed how he changed color and shrunk in size as his once flat wings curled inward. It appeared that something had affected his nervous system.

Twill....you're a very strange man!

And, English! Now we know where that design inspiration comes from...slippin' out for some late night Uni...then back to the computer with your sacred visions!

It's easy to find you! You leave a trail wherever you go...elaborate, intricate scrollwork!

And Dickinson...you ain't worth a dam!

Eat the Uni, you!!

BIG is BIG, like it or not....

Image

Think I'd rather be buildin'....

The latest little ditty over here in Machine...it's a donor wall, 10' high, 12' long. They're gonna adhere engraved brass leaves to it with the donor names.
You try standin' that center piece up by yourself! It's only 380 lbs.
The real kicker, is they want the same image etched on both sides of the glass, the same, and registered to each other. ...Bunch of dam fools!

There's times when I get jobs that have nothing worth liking.
I wanta earn enough money, I can get away from everyone.
I can't keep doing this on my own...with these, uhm.....people.....

For those of you that have been to my town before...you know the size....

Image

It's scraping on the 10' high ceiling!

'Course, their drawing said the glass was to be 108" tall...no sweat...
it came in at 114" ....just barely fit. They're in a big ole rush, so I built the custom roll-in cart prior to receiving the glass, so I'd be ready. At least I didn't have to modify the cart.

Best blast this thing white I got the chance....

Blake,
Did you frost those limbs down the center to tone them, they look shaded and 3 dimensional, the truck also looks free hand shaded.
If I see it clearly, it will be a challenge to dupe it on the other side but then I know your poetry.

Pat,
Yeah, that looks like some nice shading.
But then, he'll probably only need to shade one side as it will show through, don't you think?.
At least that's the way this poem rhymes to me.
Well, it's probably out the door by now anyway.

Ya Twill, you're a real good etcher, just remember to keep your darn sand dry...

You guessed it, blast it right down the center of the limbs to give that nice 3d pictorial efect. I spounged on some adhesive, did a light blast, then scraped it off, and toned it. Gave a nice bark effect. I masked the face with 4mil white sandblast mask, enlarged the drawing over at Kinko's, then spray mounted the copy over the mask. I then hand cut it and weeded it. Flipped that bad boy over and masked it off with 4mil clear sandblast mask. I carefully hand cut that side to register with what I had cut on the front. I shimmed the cart so I wouldn't have to fight it into the booth, got a 1/2" to spare now!

Oh, did I mention...in very fine print...my quote states "That no matter how it comes out, the purchaser of the glass must accept it the way it is."

Both sides...please...please........please......................please.....

Here's a deatil of the trunk. Doesn't seem like the front and back aspect of this is an issue. Now I gotta flop 'em and peel 'em. Get 'em movin' and keep 'em movin' til there well out of Machine!

Yep, move 'em on out of there. Lookin' good there Mr. Blake. That's a big chunk of glass work to be movin that quickly.
Would of been a nice hang man's tree. Nice on the trunk texture.

Hi Larry,
It was real nice chatting with you the other day.
So this is the monster tree. :) It looks good.
Will there be any problem with the little plates showing though if it is two sided or will the plates be mounted on both sides?
Two sides of sandblasting look pretty opaque, but when the plaques are glued on will the adhesive turn the one blast transparent?
Just curious.
I believe there is no shame in failure. Rather, the shame lies in the loss of all the things that might have been, but for the fear of failure.

The brass leaves will be adhered to both sides of the glass, you'll be able to read the donor name on the face of the glass, the leaf on the backside will just appear brass from the front. I don't know if they'll be puting the leaves over the sandblasting.
