photos of ancient gold

Post by Patrick Mackle »

Stumbled onto a load of great photos showing gilding, gilded wood carvings, 14th century Moorish Castles, gilded historic French cathedrals, statues and lots more. Historic places around the world. This guy must photograph as a living.
Go to Flickr and search: Grufnik Check out his "seville" photo file, and he has much more.
Or Google: Frickr Grufnik

I love the architecture, what crafstman they were in those days. It sure makes us look boring, but then who has time to enjoy it these days anyway, chasing the almighty dollar - right? ;)
Here is another link Jill Welsh posted on the Letterville BB. There are some marvelous old signs nestled in the pictures.
Historic Pitsburg
I believe there is no shame in failure. Rather, the shame lies in the loss of all the things that might have been, but for the fear of failure.
