Saphire Oil and Paint-Sav

Post by Mike Jackson »

Hi all,
I used to buy Saphire Oil from Midwest Sign Supply, but I believe they stopped selling it. It was good for oiling a quill or flat once cleaned. I heard fom Sid Moses today and he sells both Saphire Oil and Paint-Sav now.

His web site is http://www.moseart.com

He said he has been doing well selling sign products and books on eBay.

Sid called me as well. I have always preferred the Sapphire Brush Oil since it is a parafin and mixes with paint (keeping residue from curing in the bursh) and is dissolved by mineral spirits. Sid also mentioned that he recently turned 88, had a great party including Artie, Mr J and ohters. He is a wealth of knowledge and has acquired some of the more unusual products that others have stopped carrying. This is not intended as a commercial for him, I just always enjoy his calls.

Hey Kent,
The beauty of this site is the fact the Denver Letterheads has helped pay for almost all of the expenses. With that, we are not having to worry about paying our bills and getting sponsors. A free plug for someone offering a needed product seems truly appropriate, from my point of view at least. I guess it could get out of hand, but if anyone knows of products that work well and you think the rest of us should know about, go ahead and post it and a link to their site.
