Darla is doing a few banners for the high school and middle school. One of them needed a silhouette/image of Thomas Edison. I know I have a bunch of clip art that should have it already made up. I spent a good hour trying to find one. Ouch.
I started with Corel Draw 1.0 and have upgraded quite a few times over the years. I have user guide books and clip art guide books from version 6.0, 7.0, 9, and 11 here. I fould a couple of interesting images in the version 7 book, but I have no idea where the disks for that version is now. I found version 6, 9, and 11 disks. After flipping through the various books, it is apparent they didn't just build upon the clip art foundation in a previous version, but rather they skip around and leave out images from year to year...entire sections at times. Even if the images are still in their collections, they are all renamed and put into different categories so a guide book from one release won't help much in other years.
I guess the lesson to be learned here is to save all the old disks, even if the software is not loaded anymore.
