All companies that supply to our royal familie gets on of these shields.
Made in bronze painted with oil paint and gilded with goldleaf.

Circa 10 year old Gelatine goldleaf
This window is from a cakeshop which for more than 400 years makes special cake-bread that boats all over europe took with them when they went for far away travels. Because this bread will be eatable for aprox. one year after processing, because of the herbs and dried fruits in them. Black outline (using a mask i think) and than watergilded, afterwards backupped with yellow oker or something.

415 year old shop 1
Wall handpainted, aprox in the last 10 years.

Dutch Design 2
Would this be a Dutch font or is this one also known abroad?

Dutch Design 3
This must be a typical Dutch-German font...

Gilded stone carving and coloured stone glazing 200 years old
We in Nederland had the tradition that when houses were build the frontal would get a handmade plaster sign cemented in. This stone would be elaboratly painted and gilded..
People during the sixteenhundreds would not say that they lived in house number 12 on the Herengracht, but they would say: "I live in the second house on the right of the 'Carpetmaker' on the Herengracht". And the Carpetmaker would have made a stone about his carpetmaking trade in the frontal of his house.

This window can be seen in the Kerkstraat in Amsterdam.
It is probably between 60 or 100 years old, there are not many left of them...
There is some lines made with silver-leaf and the rest is handpainted on.
After years of windowcleaning etc a lot has dissapeared.

Renovated ghost sign
Typicall.... New company: new layer of paint and than the new name is painted over. When renovated they see both names come through and do the same, this double look was not what it originally supossed to be.

Sign on Bracket 1
Crown gilded, sign handpainted.
Because of the distance i was not able to see if it is original an antique piece.

Sign on Bracket 2
A mayor piece of new artistic exploration. I really it looks great!
