European Sign Photos

Post by Doug Bernhardt »

Now that I've discovered just how easy it is to post photos, here are a few from Europe.

is a bakery in Paris. Very old glass and the most remarkable of it's type I've seen.

A couple from the Lord Clyde pub in downtown London. It's remarkable because of the original antique glass and fittings. The reason is likely as it's owners have had it since the war.

The tile front complete with Truman logo and all.

and a detail

of course this wouldn't be complete without a picture of a travelling companion

Nice photos Doug. I really like the reverse painted and leafed (French?) panel.
I want to learn how to upload photos here as well.

I will have you know that the pancake was very thin and no way big enough.
But still very nice especially with the syrup.

I cannot wait to return to England. Last time I was there, I took a ton of pics, sadly, not too many were of glass, mostly heraldry type bronze sculptures, reliefs and such. Just so overwhelming and basically the luck of the draw depending on what you happen to drive past.

Great picture of that bakery.

Here is a nice one I made about 15 years back, on the estate of Castle Howard in England.
