With things as soloooooooow as they are after lettering up my van I decided to go park it down on a busy street in my town. I parked it down there about noon today and some one already called !!!

Wish me luck, I need it.

Hi Roderick,
The van is coming on a treat, looking great. Our vans are all signwritten in goldleaf and we get loads of enquiries from them, hope it works for you too,

kind regards,
Brian.

Leucadia, California, two-thousand and nine.

A tough town to find a gold leaf job.
And for this reason, Roddy Treece, a professional gilder,
made it a point to park his van in a conspicuous place downtown.

But little does he know, that this time around, he's parked it there
on the very day someone needs a gold leaf sign!

Get your sign kit, Roddy.
Hey, Good Luck, huh?

If a man's gonna be lucky,
ain't no words gonna change it!

May the Great Spirit watch over you!

Thanks Brian,
I saw your video on you tube. I like the part where your son is slapping the vinyl on the bumper.

It turns out that the lady that called has a business in a location that doesn't even have an address so they can't get a sign permit! Where I live alot of businesses don't bother with them so I told her just to go for it. I was really hoping for an easy sign job for once.
I did apply for a job at that famous Englishmen's glass sign shop. My wife wants to get rid of me ,I guess I'm driving her crazy being out of work.

Sure....come on back to Machine, help me with the bar!

We'll enjoy that simple, quiet, Machine life....

cause there ain't nothin' goin on up here either.

We'll gild some glass, eat a pizza...whatta ya say?

Heck, you can't aford that....not even half. Wait a minute...

I could go down there. We could hang out under the pier, sniff some shellac,

and talk about the good ole days at the Fine Gold Sign Company.

Heard me an idea, sounded pretty good.......

but I don't know.......

Sorry for putting this here but I couldn't find the glass sign post I started awhile back.

Here's a photo a client from Miami just sent me of a front depth carved paint filled glass sign I did for them. I love the internet !!
