pvc to pvc......

Post by vance galliher »

Why do I have to login each time? .........Now on to my inquiry. I don’t work much with pvc, but other than abrading and cleaning the surface, what adhesive would you use to bond two piece of pvc together.? As in letters to a contour panel with no standoff

Vance,

log in: if you're on a pc, with the box checked that says 'log me in each time', it should allow automatic log in.

Gluing pvc needs no special treatment other than normal cleaning using a 50/50 mixture of water and alcohol, no abrading necessary. Use the same glue / solvent used to cement pvc pipe available at any hardware store.

Glue, clamp up, and parts are ready to be machined within 15 - 20 minutes.

My security software cleans my registry and internet files weekly so I then have to login again on many sites. Not so much a bother to be protected.

I like the slow set PVC pipe adhesive when laminating so I can reposition and clamp to get a smooth seam.
