Great job.

I'd like to know how you did that kelp. It looks a bit like variegated leaf, but in the close-up shot it looks more dimensional. I can't tell if it's a painted finish or carved glass.
Also those eggs things (are they shark eggs?)...really nice interesting effect.

Pretty!
Did you use a ready made mirror?
I'm guessing depth carved, cleared and gilded with variegated leaf and micas. Or is there MOP there as well? Am I any where close?
I always enjoy seeing your projects. Maybe someday I will make it down there and we can recreate that tortoise shell look - that is if I can even remember how I did that.
I believe there is no shame in failure. Rather, the shame lies in the loss of all the things that might have been, but for the fear of failure.

Thanks everyone.

I started out with a mirror.
Drew the art by hand
Masked off the back
Depth carved the art

Kelp
Asphaltum toning on the kelp
Verigated cppoer leaf scumbled , burnished, then some is removed with masking tape to leave open windows.
Tinted with transparent pearlescent One Shot green and blue
Gilded with silver leaf

Star fish
Crushed colored frit w/ powered MOP

Abalones
Tinted shadows and abalone inlays

Shell Hand painted with pearlescent powders and paint.

Kelly,
I just used your Tortoise shell finish on a project the other day !
