Hello,
Let me just say that I'm so excited to have found this site that I haven't used the search function yet. Sorry!
As a collector of illuminated signs/clocks from the 40's to the 70's I've decided to try my hand at something more creative. Although I'm blown away by the gold leaf/glue chipping that most of the members here are focused on, that's way out of my league. I would really like to try my hand at the 3 to 4 color reverse painted glass, illuminated/neon "advertising" sheetmetal box. A few questions:
1) Not being a strong artist, is there a way to scan images on a computer, transfer them to glass and backpaint/silkscreen?
2) What paints/inks are appropriate for this task?
Thanks so much. Now I'll go read through all the posts!
Jeff

Welcome to the gang Jeff.....those are some pretty specialized interests but am sure there are ppl here with your answers. Be patient though, not everyone drops in daily so qualified answers can take time....not something that everyone is ready for.

Hi Jeff,
Welcome.
While your waiting, I would be really interested in seeing some of those illuminated clocks of yours.
