Wow,
If it wasn't for the behind scenes section on his website you would swear they were just photoshop generated layered "paintings" which in itself would be amazing but adding all the live shots and cropping all that. It's insane.. (In a good sense)

You see a streamlined version of some of these effects in shows like the documentaries by Ken Burns. The camera seems to move from side to side, and flat images in the scenes move or change in size at the same time. This guy takes all that to a completely new, higher level. According to the description, the photographer is a master at shooting lots of different scenes, then layers them in Photoshop in a convincing manner. For most, that'd be enough, but when he adds the video motion and another altogether different art form develops.

Oh yes, in the first scene, there is a sign painter on a ladder just behind the window! His ladder appears to be leaning against the glass and he is filling in letters while holding a gallon of paint. This would be an example of the "art director" not really knowing how signs were painted.

That is better than grits and gravy. I'll be sure to show this to my daughter who is already intimidated by photoshop.
