With all the hype on selling gold jewelry which is 16 or 18kt, why can't we sell our 23kt gold leaf? The only place that I found will only take pounds, not ounces. Does anyone know of a place that will take ounces? If not, I have been saving gold for nothing.
Bill

Hello Mr. Riedel,
Golly! How much gilding would you have to do to make a pound of skewings???
Wrights of Lymm(UK) reclaims waste gold. I have always wondered if they would do it for international customers... I do not know if it is by the ounce. It says they send a free waste bucket to gold reclaimers.

Hi Bill,
Mid-States Recycling & Refining
1841 Busse Hwy
Des Plaines, IL 60016
(800) 551-0083
They will only work with businesses, and since the patriot act you will have to prove you are a business, but they will purchase your skewings.
Good Luck

Hi Bill,
I always save my skewings when I'm backing up. I always end up using them for some sort of project so I'd say Keep em or send em to me and i'll put em to go use.
