I want to put bright white background on a piece of reverse glass. I want the brightest whitest white I can find.
I see One Shot has White 101-L and Polar White 130-L. Would anyone be so kinda as to take 30 seconds and tell me which is the whiter of the whites? Both suppliers here in Baltimore were out of stock on both so I couldn't look for myself.
Thanks in advance.

Re: The whitest of them all
are you using water-clear glass such as Starfire???
If the glass is green-tint, i sometimes make the "white" paint a little bit pink/orange to counter the green cast.

I'm using Starfire glass so I don't have to worry but it is good to know. I'll keep it in mind in case I use regular glass in the future.
I ended up ordering Polar White. It came via UPS today. I'm trying to mix in micro-prizms into the paint to give it a flake effect but haven't been able to get the effect I'm going for. Any suggestions?

Is that micro prizm flake? If so I would believe you would have to thin the mix pretty much and spray it on with an airbrush in thin layers.. or mix the flake with a some sort of clear, spray it on and add the white after.. but just guessing.

Yep, it is the Micro-prizm.Marius Mellebye wrote:Is that micro prizm flake? If so I would believe you would have to thin the mix pretty much and spray it on with an airbrush in thin layers.. or mix the flake with a some sort of clear, spray it on and add the white after.. but just guessing.
I could try that. I have an airbrush I've never quite figured out how to use....guess this is time to learn.
I kind of figured it was going to be something like a multi-stage process. When I mixed it straight into the white it didn't work out so well. I had some clear that I tried it in and ended up putting white on after the fact and it was close to the look I was going for.
Thanks.
