Post by Mike Jackson »

Hi, I just received this note about Mike Reilley.
Hi, I am writing to let you know that Mike is in hospice care as a result of his long struggle with lung cancer. He is at the Collier Center at Lutheran Medical in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. I am trying to reach out to people to let them know and hope that they will contact him to say hello and perhaps share some memories. Please let me know if I have contacted you in error. Mike's cell is 303 427 8504 Collier is 303 425 8000 he is in room 222.
He loved being part of the Letterheads and has always enjoyed his occupation, stopping work only in the last few months.
Thanks,
Judy (Reilley) Morrissey

Mike passed away on Sun. He was a great champion of keeping the craft alive and instrumental in hosting both the 1985 and 1995 meets in Denver. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Sorry to here this news. I never met this man, but sorry to see him go just the same. Hooray for those who promote the craft.

Thank you, Mike & Kent, for letting us know about Mike Reilley's recent death.

I didn't know him real well, but I always enjoyed interacting with him - preparing for the '95 meet and periodically discussing our career twists & turns through the years. His enthusiasm portrayed the heart of a solid tradesman who loved the craft and who was eager to help others learn the basics and excel in their skills. A good, honest sign person who will be missed by his family and leave a hole in our network of Letterhead friends.

Life is short.

Never know how to say how bad I feel to see the "old guard" dropping away as we all are starting to do. I never really knew Mike but was certainly aware his reputation and had a great deal of respect for him. My best to his family and the family of craftsmen who journey with him.
