RoderickWas at the craft store the other day and I noticed some new spray paint products.
Krylon "Frosted Glass" Spray Paint.
Translucent flat frosted glass look.
Comes in several flavors(colors).
For use on glass...maybe other substrates too?
Krylon "Stained Glass" Spray Paint.
Translucent gloss finish
Comes in several flavors(colors).
For use on glass or ???
Holographic Spray Paint...little sparkles with a prismatic rainbow. Looks just like that vinyl stuff.
Krylon "Pearl" spray paint. Mother of pearl in a spray bomb!
Krylon "Mirror" Paint...mentioned in previous posts.
Sparkle Spray Paint...Little sparkles, like metalflake in a spray can. Comes in several flavors(colors).
Fluorescent Spray Paint...this has been around for a while. Many flavors(colors) to choose from.
Glow in the dark latex paint...for interior use only...5 minutes to charge for a 20 minute glow time. Just think of the possibilities!!! Honey...come here once, will ya....
And my favorite....Magnetic Paint!!!
This is not spray paint..it comes in a pint can and weighs a ton....whats in this stuff gold?
You brush or roll it on...let it dry....then stick metal to it....hmmmmm, I wonder if you can spray it.
What next...velcro paint!?
Also saw the crackle spray paint...wrinkle finish spray paint, in various colours...texture spray paint like suede....and fleck stone, thats been around for a while. rust and copper patina spray kits.
I have used the krylon fusion spray paint for plastic(pvc)signs, so far its holding up, just dont wipe it clean with mineral spirits, as it reactivates, learned that one the hard way!
What about putting asphaltum in one of those compressed air sprayers...has anyone tryed that?
The thing about using some of these spray paints is that thier solvents are "hot" and will melt and lift any enamel outlines...would the hardner that one shot makes for its enamels resist these hot solvent spray paints?
Answers Please! Thanks in advance!

I
have found that you can spray almost anything over anything if you spray very light coats building it up slowly. Letting every layer dry completly before adding the next. My favorite is Mohawk crakle lacquer clear over water based paint no probelm.

P.S. Are you the one thats doing all the magnetic grafitii in my neighborhood?
