Working for Yourself Posted by Janette Balogh on November 29, 2001
Posted by Mike Jackson on November 29, 2001We all know how tough it is to work for yourself, when you work for yourself!
Doing anything cool creatively for "you" lately?
Either on a personal or business level.
Dave & I are on the last stretch of a website for "me".
I will disclose the url as we get closer with it.
Next I will redo my cards, to add the web address, and also to finally change the area code since ours changed here over a year ago! hahahaa
Sure would like to get my tire cover done too.
trying to fill my showcase wall with samples.
Anything in the works for you guys?

Posted by Raymond Chapman on December 03, 2001Hi Janette,
I mentioned earlier that I had received my new Photoshop 6.0 upgrade and the additional Classroom In A Book training book. To help me learn the program, I make a solid effort to do at least one lesson per night (or day). So far, I am on #6 and going fine. I got snagged a little during the Thanksgiving holidays, being away from the computer. The kids are in basketball, and that takes a few evenings away, but well worth that time.
I have a tendency to want to load a new program and do a few little tests to see if it is working, then never really digging into the new features. The Classroom in a Book series walk you through several of the new features and are good reviews for what I am already supposed to know. Having a goal of one lesson per day keeps me focused. Photoshop is such great program, too!
I keep thinking I need to crack open the web sites and upgrade them with the GoLive features I learned last time I went through the training exercise.
I feel the distant call for the need to digitize a new CD, too. That's a lot of work, but the winter is long here!

How long a list would you like to have? List of things to do is VERY long - the list of things that have actually been accomplished is very short.
Lots of ideas for the showroom, especially since being in the "Garden of the Gods" - Nancy and Noella. Then there is that brochure that is stuck in my brain, and the website, and a new dimensional sign for the front of the building, and some samples of Edge prints, and getting around to learning Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Quickbooks Pro, and Estimate. The main goal of making some money for a change is always before me along with getting organized.
Just thinking about it is making me tired. I think it's time for a nap.
