Can sand be used to "frost" the glass or is aluminum oxide the recomended media?
Kent Smith
I use sand and prefer 70 or 120 grit because any unchipped areas will have a fine smooth etch, unlike the rougher 20 or 30 grit commonly found. The idea is only to rough up the glass surface so that the glue will adhere well to the areas to be chipped.
