Heading South! Spring Break Tour

Post by Mike Jackson »

Hi Forum Readers,
We are in the process of packing the van up for a week or so on the road headed south to Vegas and Phoenix. We had originally planned on going to Oregon, but the weather report looks like rain solid for the next week or so. I guess that is common for that area this time of year.

This will be a multi-purpose Spring Break field trip. Darla and the boys have been searching the Internet for all the best skate board parks in the region. They have them all marked a identified with directions and so forth. There are a lot of good parks, some with lighting.

We will zip past Salt Lake City, and make our way to Phoenix first (tentative), then work back toward Vegas. I might be able to get into the big ISA sign show there later in the week.

So....I am hoping to hear from readers from that part of the country to tell me any of the MUST VISIT spots. We might get to stop in on a few shops, but it is hard to say when we will be where. We may simply run out of time and not get to visit all the places we hope to find.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Last year, we did a skate park tour in the Salt Lake area, hitting 30 parks and a few streams along the way. If you are interested at all in that kind of thing, visit Tyler's web site at:

I guess this post could be considered Off Topic, but actually we are looking for a few stops along the way to help write off some of the expenses! ISA, Sign shops, museums, etc?
