I took a look at the finegold suppliers list and did not see any mention of commonwealth varnishes.

I know that rick bought the company when cecil retired or passed on....I have purchase several of these 1/2 pint cans from rick in the past...so I was wondering...is it still going to be made/sold by esoteric2....or will we all have to find a new source? Any info that anyone reading this can provide would be benificial to all.
Thanks for your assistance.

Saturday June 7th 11:23 Just spoke with Paul Glawson, about Commonwealth. Yes they are continuing manufacturing of these Varnishes. and have Just re-ordered Raw materials to have more made.

Robare,
I haven't tried calling, but someone mentioned that David and Paul are now in the shop pretty much all the time to take orders. At least for a while, I would suspect you can buy most of the supplies in the Commonwealth cans. I don't know if the two brothers know the formulas or the sources for new materials....but Rick seems to have done mostly "repackaging" of commonly available paints and varnishes (such as Asphaltum, Arterial Red, Gold Back Up and others).

Buy what you can now, while it is avialable! Danny Baronian recently received a catalog notice that said the Angel Gild and Silvering products were no longer available there.
