Mike Jackson - Rick Did

Hi Vance,
When I was at the funeral, Bill Hueg gave me this very sentimental photo of Rick. It was taken at our old shop during one of our "Art Camps" (small, dedicated Letterheads meeting). This one was centered around carving a group Totem Pole. While the rest of us were dividing up sections of the pole to carve, Rick sat quietly in one of the corner chairs and carved this little chain project. Talk about the patience of a saint! He finished it during the weekend in time for this photo.
Luckily for Rick, this art camp was in the summer. We also had a "Casting Call" art camp in the dead of winter. Rick arrived at the airport in a jacket, but still with a t-shirt underneath and of course, still wearing his sandals. He said he didn't own any boots or real shoes. Several people reading this BB probably also remember him giving a demo/seminar on acid etching where he walked around with a shallow vat of hydroflouric acid, still wearing his sandals.
The photo above is the Rick we all knew and loved!
