Brush Box/Sign Kit
Can anyone give me an idea where I can buy a sign kit. My old kit has bit the dust... it's time to get a new one.
Thanks,
Jon

Howdy Jon,
I can't seem to find the aluminum sign kit.
I have found smaller version in plastic from
cheap joes art supplies or daniel smith artist materials.
They call them art storage boxes, around 35.00.
Though I would prefer the aluminum kit if it is still available.

I have one like this. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/D ... mber=94538
The drawers keep things organized. It seems to be very well built. Works for me.

Looks like the same aluminum box but a little cheaper (149 usd) here:
http://www.pacificcoastsignsupply.com/c ... sories.htm
These wood boxes might be usable??
This one has a slide out work surface. (79.99 usd)
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/d ... mber=94538
This is similar. (109.95 usd)

Years ago I saw some interesting boxes over here in Japan with sliding shutters. I will have a look at some of the older shops as soon as I get a chance.

Re: Brush Box/Sign Kit
You can sometimes find some pretty nice boxes on Ebay. I search under vintage tool box or vintage tackle box. I have found a few nice sign painter boxes on there that were listed under tackle box. Most people would never know that it is a sign kit box and they just list them as tool or tackle boxes. You can also pick a nice vintage wooden machinist box thats made a lot nicer and higher quality than most anything made now a days.

Went to go buy the aluminum sign box shown on this (pretty old) thread and no joy. If anyone has one or knows where I can buy one please let me know. I am a buyer!
