Re: Blad Holder
Castings you say? I've figured it for a straight forward mill and turn job. I've been planning on making a set of small.. medium and large for a while now. But been using pieces of dowel rod slit on the end with copper tie wire and some glue to hold blades.
Sure I paint thing for my amusement and then offer them for sale. A brushslinger could whither en die from lack of creativity in this plastic town my horse threw a shoe in.

Re: Blad Holder
I had one of those years ago and I remember the blade was always loose in the holder. Also you could only use it with a whole blade. Here is a photo of what I've been using for years.

Re: Blade Holder
Well here is a working prototype of my designed blade holder.
Will make a couple of refinements as this was a proof of concept to see if my idea would work and it does.
.
So it's coming along... and I'll be glad to make some for those who would like one or two.
So let me know what you think.

Seem to hold well both small pieces as well as whole blades. I placed some masking tape down and used the tool to remove it, doing some with both blades... work very well.
Aluminum construction. Will make a couple of refinements as this was a proof of concept to see if my idea would work and it does.
