Next Router Magic Workshop planned for July18-20

Post by Dan Sawatzky »

The next Router Magic Workshop is scheduled fo July 18-20.

We'll be exploring the ins and outs of 3D and textured routing as always. Over the three days of the workshop we'll show how we build 3D files. We'll also give hands-on training in the shop showing what to do with the pieces once they come off the router, for that is just the beginning of the magic...

We'll glue, carve, add texture, primers, faux finishes and a whole lot more! I'll also be doing demonstrations of cement carving, sculpting epoxy, playing with the plasma cutter, and other fun stuff...

Its all about creating 3D magic in a fun style!

Anyone interested give me a call.

Final days before workshop

Post by Dan Sawatzky »

We are busy here doing all the last minute things that have to be done before each workshop. It will be a small group this time around compared to the three previous workshops but that will allow for a more personalized approach which isn't a bad thing at all. This is the first workshop we've hosted in the middle of summer and we've figured out that people like to do other things in the warm busy months.

The next workshop isn't until October. That one promises to be a much higher energy event and should be a fully booked event with some very skilled and accomplished signmakers already signed up and a lot of keen interest by many more.

Each workshop takes on its very own personality depending on the folks who attend. And each one is special in its own way too!

For those considering taking a workshop with us, the dates for the next one are October 10-12 right here in beautiful downtown Yarrow.
