Glass Sign Gregg Heger
I'm lucky enough to be visiting with my good friend Gregg Heger tommorrow in Boston, Mass for 1 week. We planned a trip up to see Doug Bernhardt and also to see on the way up Noella at Sign-It. Jeff Lang and Gary Godby are joining us both which should be a good few days of catching up with friends... . Were Planning on a small gold workshop the first two days and then set for a long drive to Canada. Gregg came here in 2006 and brought with him a nice little metal hand painted sign for me as a gift, this past week I made him a sign for his office studio wall. Told him not to look on the forum before I get over there. he promised he would not........
Hope I spelt everything right!

Hey English!
I'm starting to get suspicious....there must be at least three or four of you!
Or maybe you're like Mackle...3 hours of sleep a day is good enough.
Outstanding sign, once again... You sure fit a lot into a day!
I'll be over with my tent, one of these days!
Have a great trip!

Your profuse design talents absolutely floor me!! And then there's the perfection in execution- SPOT ON!
I'd give up my last "3 HOURS OF SLEEP" just to have a dusting of your imaginative talents.

So you are coming to our fair land! If you get lost in the wilderness and find yourelf in my neck of the woods you would be most welcome......you'd have to be sooooo lost to find me though.

I believe there is no shame in failure. Rather, the shame lies in the loss of all the things that might have been, but for the fear of failure.

Hey there Captian Doug!
Mighty fine carving there, you are a talented fella fo-sur. Not too many folks that can push a brush and a chisel as well as you do. More photos please -
What type of wood is that? Does this photo show the carving before or after sanding?
Oh, don't forget to pick up a couple of new Sears catalogs for the privy too.

Re: Glass Sign Gregg Heger
Hey all....the boys have been and gone. They drank all my beer and emptied the fridge. As to the wood sign "she be" mahogany and quite a bit more than you see there. More later of course but there's very little sanding to be or has been done to it. Carvings always look so good when they are crisp so hardly at all there. The panels and flat areas are sanded down to to about 120 grit though and the background around the Devine's was punched with a steel punch I had made. It's been an ongoing project to find a shape that works well. I'll dig up a few more photos a little later.

Inspiring work. I love looking at anything you lads make. There is always so much going on, but it still always comes together.
