HF Etching on Tempered Glass

I have a client that wants me to etch/emboss an Entry way door. He already has a piece of 3/8 Tempered Glass in the door. Can I Acid emboss this with good results or is this going to Pop on me. I usually do my Embossing and etching first then have it tempered but I thought I would check first before telling him I won't use his glass.

Should not be a problem.
Just clean it properly as allways.
