Mike Jackson - Another PhotoHere's another book of interest printed in Italy. Wolfgang Hageney arranged and edited the book of turn of the century artwork, similar to the work in the Wenzel Modern Decorative Art folios. It was copyrighted in 1984, containing artwork by unknown artists between the years of 1900-1910. It is a Belveder Designbook- Fashion Textiles Graphic Designs- Volume 17.
Interestingly, the book can be purchased in four individual parts (1-4) or in a single book. I purchased two of the books in a bookstore in Boise, Idaho about 15 years ago while visiting Noel. I have since filled in the other two volumes (one is on a slow boat from England as I write this) and I purchased the 4part book somewhere else along the way. If you can find them, you will fall in love with the artwork.
If you can find them, expect to pay about $75 for each of the four volumes.
Right now,I don't have any leads for additional copies, but at least you can have fun chasing them down.
The image above is just one close up of one image. The colors in the books are generally muted, but very striking.
