OLD FORUM POSTS

Doug Bernhardt was kind enough to share a few pics with me via email this past week of some work he was doing along with some wonderful pics of a good sized piece Rick Glawson had shared with him a while back.

The pictures reminded me of how inspired I was when I attended a Conclave meet last year. Its much the same feeling I get each time I pick up a Letterheads Magazine or see photos of some of the folk's work who visit this place.

I've had the privilege of doing some pretty imaginative work through the years, but being at the conclave and seeing other's fine crafted work makes me eager to crank it up to the next level.

I want to keep my same bent, cartoon style, only add in much, much more detail and gold leaf of course.

I'm sure I will find a willing market for this higher level of detail, although it may take a while to develop. As always it will be up to me to produce showpieces with which I can sell future work.

It's my hope our new studio can be the vehicle that works for us. It is our plan to hand craft each aspect and detail of the new facility to show and demonstrate new found abilities and methods.

So thanks to all here for the inspiration. I'll try and do you proud.
