There are some new people visiting this BB and some might not be aware of Bruce Jackson's work in Melbourne, Australia. Check out his work! He might have the deepest technical background of anyone around when dealing with gold leaf and all the various techniques and effects. If you want to swing on over to Australia, he is doing some workshops this summer. Check out his signs...but also his various other ART forms, using gold leaf.

He has posted here in the past, and I have invited him to come back and get involved.

Vance,
Bruce has been doing this a long time. I didn't have anything to do with this but remind him to come back once in a while to make and read the posts. Yes, he does some great work, including all the architectural gilding.

Cheers!

Thanks for the plug Mike.
I haven't been visiting any bulletin boards for some time. Just got busy with other things I suppose and got out of the habit of looking them up.

This board seems to be going great, with lots of great topics for brush-wielding dinosaurs like me.

Perhaps a little update might be of interest to people. I'll post a new topic shortly on the scene in Melbourne and the new architectural uses for glass gilding I've been focusing on over the last couple of years.

I agree, Bruce's site is an encyclopedia on gold.
I also enjoy of of his architectual pieces are very good.
