Add my name to the list of those thanking Darla and Mike for those 25 years. They went by fast, didn't they?
What's amazing is that for all those years Mike has been able to adjust to the changes in the sign industry and stay on the cutting edge. In every issue he showed us how to do something and kept it simple and informative. And that's not an easy thing to do, year after year. Even though he's ten years younger than me, he has been a constant hero. Mike and Darla are a success story, both in business and family.
Also, congratulations to Corey on his graduation from high school. Like Mike and Darla, he doesn't look old enough to be a graduate. Must be in the genes. I can remember sitting by his high chair and enjoying a bowl of Cherrios with him. Does that make me even older?

Yea...my copy arrived last Friday and got a peek at what was the first issues cover?...is that correct? All to say that looked like some very cutting edge things on the cover especially when you concider the "whens". Back then all I was worried about was making a better paper sign with Bananas 10 cents a pound!

Interesting to note that I met all of them at the same time in Moore along with Ray and Tom as well as so many more life-long friends. Could not have better contributors to the magazine.
Only Darla has retained her youthful beauty, no offense to any of us.
Doug, the premier Issue was all Black and White featuring the Signs of Sanibel Island on the cover, and inside, Fran Alricn...Showcards West AND Profile on Bob Seelander, cover to cover (included) 20 pages. No actual date but the copyright inside is 1980 and issue 2 was summer. I think that issue from '82 was the first with some color. I did not get the premier issue right away. When I arrived at Emmett Morelli's shop in Vegas that fall, he had the new Fall issue with him on the cover as well as the premier and summer copies. I called Tom from Emmett's to be sure I had a subscription and could get the first two issues too. Seems like two lifetimes ago.
