Artist of interest

There are so many great artists out there.I just found a link to one of my all time favorite muralists.Kent Twitchell.I had the pleasure to meet him years ago while he was painting a giant mural of the artist Ed Ruscha in downtown LA years ago.
If you have ever been in LA you have seen his work.

I've allways wondered who did these. What an amazing talent. Thanks for the post on this. I used to drive by these and look on in awe as I'm sure everyone did. Some of these where up for a short period of time and it allways made me wonder why. Also, I never saw any of them get graffiti'd up... even the taggers can respect something like this.

Jerry,
Kent is truly amazing. One of my all time favorites was "Freeway Lady".We would go over to it and just stare at it in awe.Sadly was cover up when they built another building next to it.Maybe one day when they t demolish the other building it will be rediscovered.

I also remember seeing lots of these murals around LA Rod.
My first encounter with his work was driving with Rick to see his work at Universal Studios ,I think it was around 1991. We passed the guy with the violin. It really looked like a photo from the freeway.
welldone for finding this site.

I don't know if this is still there but, I remember my friend Robert Curry taking me to the site of his Ed Ruscha mural in downtown LA.Kent wasn't there at the time.Right at face level were all the colors he was using on the mural over layed on top of one another in swatches. It was the first time I had ever scene that.
