Photography taken to a different level

Post by Mike Jackson »

Hello all,
I have been working on a new web site for a while, and I think it is about ready to unveil. Here's the address:

http://www.tetonartimages.com

Teton Art Images is the sister site to Teton Images, but this group of photos were modified to look like painted images.

If you read the "Profile Info" page on the site, you can see how it relates back to this forum.

Best regards,
Mike Jackson

Great looking site...and artwork Mr. Jackson. But then, I'm not all that surprised since what Mike does is always first class.

Mike,

I continue to be astonished and humbled by the talent and the diverse directions taken by the "hand-lettering" artists who participate in this forum. Your new distinctive site has raised the bar to yet another level. Thank you for sharing these beautiful images.

Great renditions Mike and nicely packaged!

I'm sure that there are others interested and the process can be integrated in our industry. Can you fill us in a little more on the digital processing. Is Fractal Design Painter similar to Corel Painter? Are the images done with filters, brushes or a combination of the two? I've played a bit with Corel Painter and it has some amazing abilities. I've been meaning to purchase the actual program but haven't made the step yet. I'd be interested in your comments in regards to Fractal before I do that.

Here is my (and my daughter's) photography venture. We had a mad rush in October to put together and launch the website in order to attend a trade show. I'm not satified with the clarity of a lot of the images we uploaded and I haven't figured out my monitors in terms of brightness and colour calibration, but hopefully that will fall into place with time. MY life is a constant learning curve!

We have been getting some images printed on canvas and I am very pleased with the results. They seem to be very popular as well.
I believe there is no shame in failure. Rather, the shame lies in the loss of all the things that might have been, but for the fear of failure.

very nice photography, Mike... and Kelly.

When you know the tools with the computer, you can really create some nice effects.
