Just an “Aâ€￾

After seeing a sign posted on another website with a cool “Aâ€, I took a stab at creating my own “A†just for the exercise. I used an upper case “A†from the font Americana. Created an outline, edited the nodes and added some clip art flourishes from the Americana collection. (The Americana/Americana connection is just a coincidence)



It actually wasn’t terribly hard. It just took some imagination. And I like it! Sure, it could use some tweaking but hey, not a bad start.

Can anyone share any tips or experiences they may have regarding creating custom letters?

The Americana Collection.....hmmmmmm - now where have I heard that name before?

Hi Joe,
I recognized the elements right off! I think the three collections are powerful design tools/aids, of course, but the real fun is seeing a creative designer extending their original capabilities by taking them to the next level, as you have done above.
